Romantic Bearzot looks set to boost the promising level she showed in her first category races when she returns to the mile and three furlongs of the Long Island Stakes G3 in Accodict, United States, on Saturday (November 30th).

The three-year-old daughter of "Medalia Douro" performed strongly and finished third with Kieran McLaglin at the Sans Point Stakes G2 at Billont Park on Saturday (October 12th).

She has twice competed at 11 furlongs, winning her bridges at Saratoga in the optional grace race claim at the end of July to finish fourth in the Jockey Club Oaks at Belmont Park in September.

Led by Dylan Davies, Romantic Bearzot faces 11 skilled and runners ahead of sixth-placed Taylor Stakes G1 CQS Buena as well as Empress of the Nile and Homeland Security, who took first and second place in the Zagora Stakes at Accodct As early as this month.

"Roman Bezerot has been training very well, and we think a return to the mile and three furlong will fit her," said Kiran Klaglin.

"At the age of three, she will carry less weight than her rivals.

"It has improved with every race this year, and we are hoping for another good performance in this strong category 3 race."

In the same program, Foley Vested (Tom Bertrand / José Lizcano), who finished third behind Final Frontier in the Belmont Turf Sprint in October, will compete for the first time in six-furlong composite Turf Sprint Champion Stakes.
