Director of the Arabian Horse Championships at the King Abdulaziz Center for Purebred Arabian Horses Turki bin Abdullah Al-Khalti praised the tenth Makkah Region Arabian Horse Championship category "B", which is currently being held at Al-Sawari Farm in Jeddah, describing it as the old tournaments in the Kingdom.
Al-Khalti pointed out that the organizers of the tournament are technically developed each year, in addition to its distinctive awards, which earned it an international reputation that has made many horse owners at the local or international level keen to compete and the current participation in the tournament is the biggest proof of this.
He pointed out that the center is responsible for tournaments held within the Kingdom in terms of arbitration and public equipment and full supervision of all regulatory matters and conditions and controls and equipment to ensure that the tournaments comply with the requirements and regulations of the European Commission for Arabian Horse Competitions "ICAHO" responsible for organizing tournaments for the Arabian horses Globally.
Al-Khalti explained that the number of tournaments for the current year 2019 reached 15 championships in all grades in various regions of the Kingdom and in 2020, God willing, will be the same number, but the difference is that there will be tournaments for the first time in a number of regions of the Kingdom, including the Ola Championship category "C" The Jubail Championship in cooperation with the Royal Commission in Jubail category "C" and the Najran Regional Championship for horse owners in the south only.
Turki pointed out that the Kingdom topped the production of purebred Arabian horses globally in the years 2016, 2017 and 2018 by 3200 horses and is expected to achieve this year 2019 new record and global production by 3500 horses, noting that the number of horse owners reached 9200 this year While the Arabian horses registered in the center reached 34,000 horses inside the Kingdom.
According to the Director of the Arabian Horse Championships at the King Abdulaziz Center for Arabian Horses, the Center is currently organizing courses and lectures by international experts and specialists for the Arabian Horse Owners and all affiliates and workers in this field specializing in raising the level of local referees and training exhibitors and members of control and discipline committees. The center also facilitates all procedures within the Kingdom with various competencies for the owners of horses participating in international championships outside the Kingdom.
