Distinguished Blue Point horse and talented two-year horse Pinatubo were among the honors at the Cartier Racing Awards in London, Britain on Tuesday evening (November 12th).

Both horse-backs have not lost in races in 2019 under coach Charlie Appleby.

Blue Point won the Cartier Award for best speed horses in recognition of five exceptional victories. Blue Point started the year with three wins at Meydan, UAE, including a spectacular show at the Al Quoz Speedway G1 at the Dubai World Cup evening in March, and continued to become the second horse to win the first class double at the Royal Ascot Festival in 99 years by winning the Kings Stand. Stakes G1 and Diamond Jubilee Stakes G1.

Pinatubo was awarded the Cartier Award for Best Two-Year Horses after making a performance as Europe's Best Two-Year Horses over 25 years when he scored a nine-length win at the Vincent O'Brien National Stakes G1.

Pinatubo, who ended the season with six wins, also broke the record time of two years of horses at Royal Ascot, offering a fantastic offer to win the Shesham Stakes List, winning Vintage Stakes G2 at Goodwood in five lengths, and scoring a brave victory at Dehurst Stakes G1 in Newmarket.

“We are thrilled that Blue Point and Pinatubo are honored with these awards, the fruit of the hard work of all Godolphin employees,” said Appleby.

"Pinatubo has an exciting role in every race, and at the start of his career at Wolverhampton, who would have imagined that he would end the season with two first-class wins at the age of two?

`` He is a production horse, and this is important for all Godolphin employees, and I was very pleased with the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to win the Dehurst Stakes when the horse showed a strong determination and will to win, and I feel very satisfied with the way he ended the season.

"Decisions will be made next week if the horse will spend the next few months in Dubai or Newmarket, but it is certainly exciting to have such a horse in the winter.

"Blue Point" is a distinguished horse of Godolphin and a talented runner, and achieved a special achievement by winning the King's Stand Stakes for the second time and added to this year a victory in Diamond Jubilee, which embodies the capabilities of the horse and the efforts of the stable team.

"I am satisfied that he has been crowned Speed Champion and I hope that he will achieve such successes in the production farms in the future."
