Thunder Snow, the first horse (so far, at least) to win the Dubai World Cup twice in a row, and the winner of the G1 races at the age of two, three, four and five years, retired from the races.

Under the guidance of his coach Saeed bin Suroor, Thunder Snow made his debut in May in his first season at the age of two and won easily. He then made his debut in the seeded category when he finished second in the G2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood, before finishing fourth in the G1 Dehurst Stakes.

With his participation in the G1 Criterium International race in Saint-Cloud, Thunder Snow could not have been more impressive, and spawned a sweeping start in the last two furlongs to push away from his rivals to an outright win by five full lengths. It was enough to win the title of the best two-year-old dowry in France that year.

Thunder Snow returned to the competition at the age of three at the 2,000 Guinness UAE Race and dispelled all doubts about his ability to repeat his level on the sandy floor, where he swept his rivals by five lengths and three quarters of the length at Meydan. He quickly added victory to the UAE G2 Darby.

Later that year, Thunder Snow made one of the most spectacular performances of his career, scoring a landslide victory at the G1 Bree Jean Pratt in Chantilly.

Returning to four-year-olds, Thunder Snow won the G2 in the second round of the Al Maktoum Cup in Meydan, before taking control and winning the Dubai World Cup.

After imposing the pace of the race from the top positions, he eventually won a big margin by six boat lengths. That year he also won a forward position in the G1 Jockey Club Gold Cup and Breaders Cup Classic.

In 2019, Thunder Snow made history by becoming the first horse ever to win the Dubai World Cup twice, surpassing him after a dramatic struggle with Gronkowski after being completely separated from the rest of the horses.

"Thunder Snow has made history by winning the Dubai World Cup twice and has achieved remarkable results in France, winning the Crietrium International and the Brienne Pratt," said coach Saeed Bin Suroor. Great for us.

"He was a high-profile horse, he was professional and easy to train. He was very hard and did his best in everything he was doing. He was one of the best races for Godolphin and it was a great honor to coach him.

"We will all miss him at Godolphin stables but he will retire from top positions and we are already looking forward to seeing his offspring. I am confident that he will become a prominent solution in the coming years.

Thunder Snow's eugenics plans will be announced in the near future.
